Evaluating and strengthening the compliance with the applicable occupational health and safety standards is one of the most relevant issues today. Workplace accidents at production sites and occupational diseases harm the health or claim the lives of millions of people around the world annually. Eventually, this has a detrimental effect on moral, social and economic development of any society.
Established in 1999, the Azerbaijani-German Clinic SAHHAT is a joint clinic specialised in providing the companies with an integrated package of services in occupational safety, industrial healthcare (compulsory and voluntary check-up services, setting up standards-compliant medical stations at enterprises), first aid training, workplace certification and production control to ensure occupational safety.
- First Aid Trainings
In many cases, proper first aid can save lives. Therefore, it is important that everyone is familiar with the rules of rendering first medical aid. The purpose of the First Aid Trainings conducted by SAHHAT is to raise the population’s awareness of these rules.
As a medical training centre, we are certified by the American Heart Association to provide BLS (Basic Life Support) pre-doctor first aid training in industrial and production facilities.
All our training courses are conducted by professional and certified (Basic First Aid) instructors. The training is based on both theoretical and hands-on resources. Due to the interactive format of training thanks to the use of audio-visual aids, our courses do not cause fatigue and ensure the better comprehension of information.
- Certification of Workplaces
Requirements for certification of workplaces are stipulated in Articles 54 and 64 of the Labour Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Relevant rules of certification are regulated by the Decision No. 38, dated April 6, 2000 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Pursuant to Article 92.2 of the Administrative Offences Code, employers failing to ensure the certification of workplaces shall be subject to a penalty equivalent to 700-1200 AZN. Period of certification is determined by the company at least once every 5 (five) years depending on the nature and conditions of work.
- Main tasks to ensure appropriate certification of workplaces depending on working conditions:
- determining the actual volume of hazardous and harmful production factors in workplaces;
- assessing actual working conditions in workplaces;
- approving or revoke the right to benefits and compensation for works related to harmful and difficult working conditions;
- developing measures to improve working conditions.
